Mectalent Oy invests in Thermal Channel Technologies Oy.

Thermal Channel Technologies Oy, which commercializes CooliBlade technology, has raised investments totaling approximately one million euros. In addition to the company's founders and Mectalent, the part owners are VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd, COR Group and two private investors.

CooliBlade cooling solution which was developed at VTT is considerably more efficient than current commercial high power electronics cooling solutions. CooliBlade technology can be used for cooling electric car charging systems, 5G base stations, smart grids, or LED lighting systems, for example.

It has been estimated that there is a 10 billion € global market and several growing application areas for high power electronics cooling solutions.

“One of the focus areas of Mectalent's operations is new technologies, and our vision is to be the pioneer in developing and manufacturing technically challenging products. Therefore, it was natural for us to become a partner with the company developing innovative CooliBlade technology. We believe that our cooperation will be successful”, says Tapio Harila, the CEO of Mectalent Oy.

Thermal Channel Technologies will start the production of new thermal management modules at the company's new premises in Oulu, Finland at the beginning of 2022.
